Articulando
Articulando is a project from 2008, adressing the efemeral aspect of the fashion industrie. A series of convertible wearables was designed out of leftover textiles from a haute couture atelier in Londrina, Brazil.
The well known Issey Miyake's drappings were used to redesign the textiles texture and the doing process unfolded the whole collection. How? The drappings volume suggests different compositions on the textile surface which were used to shaped and reshaped the wearable on the body. The name "Articulando" reinforces the sort of dialog that clothes and body should stablesh in order to find the desired style.
Beyond the aestetic, the Articulando collection propose itself to rethink the fashion cycle responsibility and work with returnable pieces, redesigning its textile and shape
Articulando was a project in partnership with the Esperanza Atelie where I could use the wastes of textiles and the business know-how.
